About our School for Nonprofits  2010-2011

For more information, call The Center for Strong Communities
at Maryville College , 865-273-8894.

The SCHOOL FOR NONPROFITS  offers opportunities for staff, board members and volunteers of nonprofit organizations to improve their knowledge and skills in nonprofit management.  Monthly training events and our annual spring conference are also valuable times for networking and developing common goals in our communities.

TOPICS: In 2010-11, we present nonprofit management workshops in fundraising, grant writing, evaluation and outcomes, team building, financial management, board development, marketing and communications, mission/strategic planning, and 501c3 responsibilities.

We welcome staff, volunteers, board members and supporters of community organizations to learn more about nonprofit management, good practices and leadership skills that can make your organization more effective in our communities.

These programs are made possible by the Nonprofit Community Collaboration, a working partnership of  Blount Chamber Foundation, Center for Strong Communities at Maryville College, and United Way of Blount County.

We are very grateful to the Corella and Bertram F. Bonner Foundation for a  grant to support nonprofit leadership development at Maryville College and in the surrounding communities.
